Melissa Brabham

MA, NCC Professional Counselor Associate

I grew up in New York City, a place where culture, resilience, and complexity are part of everyday life. From an early age, I learned how deeply our environments shape the way we see ourselves and move through the world. My childhood was filled with strong personalities, constant movement, and the kind of conversations that invite you to pay attention—to people, to stories, and to what sits beneath the surface.

Like many people, my path has been shaped by both support and challenge. Those experiences cultivated a deep curiosity about how people make meaning of their lives, how relationships shape us, and how healing becomes possible even after difficult moments. They also taught me that resilience is rarely loud—it often shows up quietly in the ways people continue to show up for themselves and others.

My work is grounded in empathy, cultural awareness, and the belief that growth happens when people feel seen, respected, and supported in defining their own path forward.

“Melissa provided a space where I felt truly seen and supported. Her approach helped me opened doors I didn’t think were possible. ”
